On the October 8th episode of The Nate Berkus Show, finance journalist Farnoosh Torabi appeared to discuss ways for the average household to increase their security and financial health. Her new book is about how to create the psychological mindset to deal with money properly, which takes a lot of pressure off ones life and marriage and generally buys you a lot of freedom.
On the September 29 episode of The Nate Berkus Show, Nate had as a guest journalist, author and co-host of Morning Joe on MSNBC Mika Brzezinski to discuss children’s online habits. Her new book is her own story of her career as a television journalist, how having children affected it and her own struggles with achieving a work/life balance. It is part memoir and part advice to others in similar career situations.
Another new show goes online with its first update! On the September 17th episode of The Nate Berkus Show, a guest was attorney and activist Elizabeth Edwards. Former wife of presidential candidate John Edwards, her most recent books are a memoir of dealing with the familial stresses of a life in politics, her own struggles with breast cancer and her husband’s infidelities. The original book was published last year, and recently she published an afterword that updates and extends where the book finishes (not the least of which is their subsequent divorce.)
